| CorrVerter® Rust Primer |
Description: CorrVerter is a water-based primer recommended for application to rusty or poorly prepared steel surfaces where further corrosion protection is required and good surface preparation is difficult to achieve. CorrVerter is formulated to penetrate rust, eliminate rust, penetrate to the bare metal, and stop further rusting.
CorrVerter contains a novel chemical chelating agent that modifies the surface rust into a hydrophobic passive layer. CorrVerter combines the above mentioned chelating agent with a high solids waterborne latex with extremely low water vapor permeability. The combination of the active chelating agent with a film-forming latex, thickeners and dispersant offers a unique formulation for a primer with excellent protection against re-rusting.
CorrVerter does not contain tannic or phosphoric acids, provides long-term corrosion protection for poorly prepared substrates, and can be topcoated with solvent-based and water-based paints with no bleeding. For outdoor applications VpCI-386 or VpCI-387 can be utilized. For indoor applications, VpCI-396 may also be used.
The combination of CorrVerter and VpCI-396 provides the best immersion coating for submersion in water, salt water, hydro carbons and high salinity water.
|
| Application: Outdoor storage, aircraft, elevators, storage tanks, vehicles, pumps, cargo holds, marine equipment. |
Package: CorrVerter is available in 5 gallon (19 liter) plastic containers. Keep product from freezing. The shelf life of the coating is one year. |

| VpCI®-149 |
Description: Cortec® VpCI-149 is a unique corrosion inhibiting paper for the protection of a wide variety of metals. Formulated to provide extra protection to sensitive metals such as copper, aluminum, and cast iron, VpCI-149 is an excellent product for virtually all packaging needs.
Manufactured using a neutral natural kraft paper, the coating provides a very soft and conformable feel to the paper. It wraps easily around metal parts, making for easy use during packaging. Since it is not a saturated paper will not tear like many other VCI papers.
|
Application: Cortec VpCI-149 paper can be used to protect products
for storage and shipment in a wide variety of ways: the
149 Kraft wrap for single item packaging or interleaving;
end closures for shipping tubes, insert strips for recessed
areas in large packages, and as sheet liners or separators
between products.
The typical applications are:
• Metal producing: coils, wire reels, plate, bar, etc.
• Metal forging and die casting: raw and machined
forgings and castings.
• Metalworking: stamping, sheet metal work, springs,
bearings, fasteners, tube, pipe, nails, etc.
• Finished products: engines, machinery , equipment,
tools, hardware, appliances, instruments, motors, etc.
• Electrical, electronic components, controls, etc. |

| VpCI®-329 Oil-Based Concentrates |
Description: VpCI®-329 is a vapor corrosion inhibiting concentrate for use with lubricating, hydraulic and preservation oils. Provides excellent protection in sheltered outdoor/indoor conditions. VpCI®-329 protects in two unique ways by offering a tenacious film, which clings to metal surfaces, as well as vapor phase inhibitors into the air above the oil. The vapors condense and form a protective barrier on metal surfaces that are not in contact with the oil. This combination allows complete protection to internal system parts. Conforms to MIL-P-46002B, MIL-I-85062, MIL-C-16173D (Grade 3). VpCI®-329 F is FDA approved.

| VpCI®-337 Waterborne Corrosion Inhibitor |
Description: VpCI-337 is a ready-to-use waterborne corrosion inhibitor
for indoor use. Vapor phase corrosion inhibitors in
VpCI-337 migrate and protect metal surfaces, resulting in
time and cost savings. The VpCI-337 is used to protect
edges of coils and stacks or to fog void spaces, tanks,
containers, packages, and enclosures. These laborsaving
techniques use a minimum of product to protect
large areas or volumes. VpCI-337 is effective on ferrous
and non-ferrous metals as well as aluminum, plated
steels, and copper. VpCI-337 is consistently successful in
providing protection to the basic metals, metalworking,
and packaging industries.
In most cases, products protected by VpCI-337 are
ready-to-use. No degreasing or stripping is necessary by
most end users. The metal will retain a clean, rust-free
surface. In most cases, the thin protective film will not
affect paintability, conductivity, appearance, or any other
important property of metals or alloys.
VpCI-337 is also available in a cold weather version.
VpCI-337 Winterized has a lower freezing point for
the convenience of application and storage in cold
temperatures.
