| CorroLogic™ VpCI® Filler, Patent Pending |
Description: CorroLogic VpCI Filler is a custom designed 2-part product developed to fill the inside of closed environments such as pipeline casings and the inside of tubular tower structures, etc. in order to control corrosion for long time periods. The product contains a unique blend of Cortec Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI) technology while providing resistance to bacterial corrosion. The filler also prevents the infiltration of air and water inside the filled structures.
CorroLogic VpCI Filler consists of a liquid VpCI concentrate and a powder gelling agent. The liquid VpCI component (Part A) can be diluted on-site to the appropriate concentration. The powder gelling agent (Part B) is added just prior to application and causes an increase in viscosity and ultimately gel formation over a pre-determined time period.
|
Application: CorroLogic VpCI Filler is applied by adding the liquid VpCI concentrate to water in a mixing tank, thoroughly blending, then adding a controlled quantity of the powder gelling agent into the liquid stream as it is discharged from the mixing tank. The CorroLogic VpCI Filler is then pumped into the structure until it is filled to the desired level. After application, the CorroLogic VpCI Filler will setup and gel over a predetermined period of time. Contact a Cortec representative for the recommended mix ratio. |
Package: Part A is available in 5 gallon (19 liter) pails, 55 gallon (208 liter) drums, and bulk. Store in a heated warehouse to avoid freezing.
Part B is available in 50 pound (23 kg) and 100 pound (45kg) moisture barrier, fiber-lined drums. Store in a sealed container in a dry warehouse and avoid direct exposure to sunlight with temperatures not exceeding 150°F (65°C). |

| Corrosorber® Liquid |
Description: Corrosorber Liquid is a concentrated solution of nitrogen based heterocyclic compound. It is formaldehyde free and can be used to scavenge hydrogen sulfide (H2S), mercaptans, sulfides, and sulfur compounds from gas systems or liquid hydrocarbons. Corrosorber liquid is an extremely fast reacting product allowing for lower levels of treated H2S where contact time is restricted. Faster reaction kinetics allow for lower usage of treating chemical.
|
Application: Hydrogen Sulfide is a poisonous gas that is deadly at high concentrations and provides serious health threats at moderate concentrations. Operating problems caused by H2S can include severe corrosion and fouling, and injection well plugging with iron sulfides.
Corrosorber Liquid is installed in batch reaction towers or it is injected continuously into gas gathering lines, transmission lines, vapor overheads, or liquid product systems of pipelines. It can be applied in either flowline or bubble tower applications. Typically the bubble tower should be filled to approximately 50% full to prevent the product from being carried downline.
Corrosorber Liquid can be diluted with water or methanol for ease of application. Water containing reacted product can be reused in the water cycle, including water gathering lines, water tanks, holding pits, vapor overheads, or injected down disposal wells. |
Package: Corrosorber Liquid is available in 5 gallon (19 liter) pails and 55 gallon (208 liter) drums.
Do not store above 120°F (49°C). Keep container closed and upright. |

of brake systems and does not adversely affect other
properties of DOT-5 brake fluid, including flammability,
high and low temperature serviceability, dry and wet
boiling points, and compressibility.
M-408 is very economical. When added to DOT-5 brake
fluid, at a concentration level of 1-1.5% by weight, it
provides corrosion protection for ferrous and yellow
metals in conditions of high humidity and elevated
temperatures.
|
| Application: • Economical
• Prevents corrosion of the brake system
• Extends the life of the brake system

| S-11 Additive |
Description: Additive for acid systems such as industrial cleaning solutions and hot pickling baths
|
Application: S-11 prevents corrosion in mineral acids, such as
nitric, hydrochloric, sulfuric and phosphoric.
S-11 Org is especially effective in organic acids such
as acetic, citric, formic, tartaric, also in sulfamic,
phosporic acids, and EDTA.
S-11/S-11 Org do not affect the pH level so it will not
affect the technological processes. Usually, S-11/S-
11 Org are used at a concentration level of 0.1-1.0%
by weight of total formula, and can be post-added if
desired.
The concentration of inhibitor required depends on the
concentration of the acid and operation conditions. In
general, S-11/S-11 Org are effective at low
concentrations, but at temperatures over 200O
F (93O
C),
higher concentrations of S-11/S-11 Org corrosion
inhibitors may be needed (0.50-1.0% for S-11 and 1-
4% for S-11 Org). However, the most effective
concentrations are best determined by laboratory tests. |
