MCI Fibers are mono-filiment polypropylene-based fibers containing Migratory Corrosion Inhibitors (MCI).

MCIs protect reinforcing steel, galvanized steel and other metals embedded in concrete from corrosion induced by carbonation, chloride and atmospheric attack. When incorporated into the concrete mix, MCIs form a corrosion inhibiting, protective layer on metals. When used with repair mortars and grouts, MCIs will migrate toward the rebars, providing effective corrosion protection.

The propylene based MCI Fibers also add mechanical benefits. Shrinkage cracking decreased 66% while residual strength doubled compared to concrete without fibers.

The film thickness of fire retardant coatings needs to be at least 4 mils dry in order to deny fuel through the formation of char. VpCI®-386 FR dries to a dull white finish and is very thixotropic allowing a thicker film to be applied without sagging.

BioClean 612, bioclean-612, 612, bio, degradable, BioClean 612 is a powerful aliphatic amide based organic penetrating agent and organic deposit dispersant for use in industrial applications. BioClean 612 also prevents the development of micro-organism protective layers and deposits. This dispersion and deposit prevention additive improves system cleanliness. When used with micro-biocides, greater control of micro-organisms can be achieved.

M-615, , M-615 is an additive to low and medium pressure boilers. It will provide improved heat transfer efficiency and longer equipment life by keeping the system free from corrosion attack and harmful insulating deposits. This product contains corrosion inhibitor and anti-scalants, and can be combined with other boiler additives (oxygen scaengers, nuetralizing amines, etc.).
Cor-Pak® Fabric LD, , Cor-Pak Fabric LD is a strong wet laid nonwoven fabric composed of a combination of synthetic and cellulosic fibers. Combined with Cortec’s Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitor (VpCI TM) technology. This product can be used in a wide array of applications.
In addition to providing excellent corrosion protection, this product provides mechanical protection against scratching, abrasion, and staining that can occur in normal packaging applications.
It also provides moisture wicking properties to keep condensation off parts and components during critical packaging applications. Cor-Pak Fabric LD is an excellent option for the protection of castings and other highly sensitive metals. Common packaging applications include interleaving, wrapping, and lining.

M-408 Additive to Brake Fluid, , M-408 is a corrosion inhibitor for brake fluid. It is compatible with DOT 3, 4, and 5 brake fluids, but is especially effective in silicon based brake fluids, such as DOT 5. M-408 dramatically improves corrosion protection of brake systems and does not adversely affect other properties of DOT-5 brake fluid, including flammability, high and low temperature serviceability, dry and wet boiling points, and compressibility. M-408 is very economical. When added to DOT-5 brake fluid, at a concentration level of 1-1.5% by weight, it provides corrosion protection for ferrous and yellow metals in conditions of high humidity and elevated temperatures.
VpCI®-394, , VpCI-394 is a high solids, aliphatic moisture cure urethane for use on marginally prepared structural steel. VpCI-394 should be applied onto VpCI-396, Cortec’s aromatic moisture cure urethane primer. VpCI-396 can safely be overcoated with VpCI-394 up to 24 hours after becoming tack free. Longer overcoat times may be possible. Run a sample test first to check for adhesion. VpCI-394 has outstanding outdoor UV protection, barrier protection and flexibility. VpCI-394 is suitable for immersed structure when applied over a CorrVerter /VpCI-396 primer system.

VpCI®-429, , VpCI-429 is a very effective rust remover and cleaner for different metals. The chemistry of this product is based on the chelating abilities of its ingredients.
VpCI-429 not only completely cleans rusted surfaces, but also prevents further rusting during the cleaning process. After cleaning there is no need for neutralization or additional rust preventative materials.
VpCI-429 is very environmentally and user friendly, has a neutral pH, is made out of biodegradable and renewable materials, is non-irritative and not harmful.
Metal surfaces treated with VpCI-429 can be painted without any problems, eliminating the step of additional preparation. In most cases VpCI-429 acts as an adhesion promoter for coatings.

Total caliper is 7.3 mils (182.5 microns). This multilayered high performance laminated structure was developed to meet the toughest industrial requirements, provides an excellent barrier to water vapor, gas, ultraviolet light and odor. The barrier layer (foil) prevents the VpCI molecular vapor from escaping from the package thereby trapping the protective chemistry within.

Manufactured using a neutral natural kraft paper, the coating provides a very soft and conformable feel to the paper. It wraps easily around metal parts, making for easy use during packaging. Since it is not a saturated paper will not tear like many other VCI papers.
MCI®-2018 Sealer, Patented - Corrosion Inhibitor Treatment, , MCI-2018 is a silane based concrete sealer, containing time-proven Migrating Corrosion Inhibitors (MCI®). MCI- 2018 is a small molecule product, which allows deep penetration into concrete and provides water repellency by chemically reacting with the cementitious substrate under proper application. This product is especially useful for the corrosion protection of metallic cans with different food items during their washing or sterilization of the packed food. M-250 Additive to Soluble Oil, , M-250 is an anticorrosion additive to soluble oils, which is designed for use with a variety of naphtenic oil-based formulations. M-250 contains emulsifiers which allow this product to support stability of water emulsion (when added to the ready to use emulsion) or to add some emulsification properties to the soluble oil (concentrate).
When M-250 is blended with appropriate base oils and lubricants, the resulting soluble oil concentrate produces a stable oil in water emulsion, that is non-separating and non-foaming ready-to-use metalworking fluid.
M-250 is very compatible with many lubricants such as chlorinated paraffins, esters, and sulfurized fats. It is compatible with a range of biocides and defoamers which can be added to the soluble oil concentrate or working emulsion as needed.

Corrosorber Liquid is a concentrated solution of nitrogen based heterocyclic compound. It is formaldehyde free and can be used to scavenge hydrogen sulfide (H2S), mercaptans, sulfides, and sulfur compounds from gas systems or liquid hydrocarbons. Corrosorber liquid is an extremely fast reacting product allowing for lower levels of treated H2S where contact time is restricted. Faster reaction kinetics allow for lower usage of treating chemical.

EcoClean®-407, ,
EcoClean 407 is an effective biodegradable, nontoxic cleaner/degreaser specially formulated to clean grease and oil buildup present on the floors of food handling establishments. EcoClean 407 effectively penetrates grease, oils, and fats and is ideal for cleaning hard surfaces. EcoClean 407 contains enzymes and surfactants. The surfactant is derived from a renewable vegetable base and is readily biodegradable.

EcoClean 407 is active at a pH range of 5.5-9.0, with an optimal range of 6.0-8.0. It is active from 50-110°F (10-43°C) and has optimum activity at ambient temperatures.

M-251 Additive to Synthetic Cutting Fluids, ,
M-251 is an environmentally friendly , low foaming water soluble corrosion inhibiting additive for synthetic cutting fluids. It provides corrosion protection to carbon steel, copper, galvanized steel, and other ferrous and nonferrous metals and their alloys. M-251 provides both contact and vapor phases corrosion potection during and after operation.

M-251 is compatible with most water-based lubricants and with a range of biocides. It is compatible with sea water, which allows the use of this additive in off-shore conditions.
