New Towel Wipe Cleans, Reduces Static,
Stops Rust
A patented, new wipe from Cortec®
cleans, reduces static charge, and stops rust all in one convenient
and tough towelette. Made with Dupont®'s strong Sontara®
non-woven fabric, the 8" x 12" Corwipe® 500 holds
up to both industrial and commercial cleaning applications. The
new wipe replaces the old combination of cleaning rags with spray
cleaners and aerosols.
Corwipe® 500 offers a more economical
alternative to cleaning with rags, paper towels, spray cleaners
and aerosols. In addition, it is a safer alternative. There are
no harsh chemical odors in the air. Corwipe® 500 contains active
water-based material that is safe to handle and not harmful to skin.
It is classified as non-hazardous and non-flammable. Unlike many
other aerosol or solvent containing industrial cleaners, Corwipe®
500 effectively removes tough soils without the use of any ozone
depleting chemicals or flammable solvents.
With its non-hazardous characteristics,
Corwipe® 500 can be used for electronic and electrical applications
including control panels, instrumentation, computers, aviation,
and communication equipment. The product works effectively for most
hard surfaces including plastic, rubber, painted, glass, and metals.
As the wipe cleans a metal surface, it forms a protective antistatic
and thin VpCI®
(Vapor phase Corrosion InhibitorTM) film. The
static dissipative film will drain charges when properly grounded
and reduce triboelectric voltages to less than 300 volts. The transparent
VpCI®TM film stops
rust and corrosion on steel, stainless, aluminum, copper and copper
alloys. It inhibits further corrosion for up to three (3) months.
Corwipe® 500 comes with twelve (12)
wipes packaged in a resealable foil pouch. Its convenient resealable
foil pouch is easy to store in desk drawers, work benches, tool
and maintenance kits where liquid spray cleaners and paper towels
take too much space or would be identified as a hazardous cleaning
substance such as an aerosol, solvent, or aggressive liquid chemical.
