Extreme Pressure Hydraulic Fluid Protects All Types of Metals Cortec® CorrLubeTM Hydraulic Fluid brings high technology performance to all types of metals utilized in a hydraulic system. Formulated with special anti-wear and extreme pressure additives, the hydraulic fluid is effective for today's most demanding applications in high pressure industrial, marine, construction, transport, off-road, and mobile systems. In addition to protecting carbon and stainless steels from corrosion, CorrLubeTM Hydraulic Fluid is effective for aluminum, copper, tin, lead, and bronze. The hydraulic fluid incorporates patented Cortec® VpCI® Technology for continuous corrosion protection during heavy duty applications. The most common breakdown of hydraulic fluid performance properties comes from corrosion oxidation that takes place during the extreme pressure and heat from heavy duty applications. Unlike conventional hydraulic fluids with no or minimal anti-rust additives, Cortec® VpCI® effectively combats the corrosive attack on metals from fluid breakdown. Cortec® vapor phase action releases corrosion protection throughout the hydraulic system including all surrounding cavities, recesses, voids, reservoirs and secondary lines. It forms a monomolecular film that protects against internal oxidation and micro-corrosive elements that were generated by the high pressure and heat during equipment operation. The VpCI® inhibitors are self-replenishing to provide continuous protection during operation and long term protection when equipment is offline. During shutdown periods, CorrLubeTM Hydraulic Fluid stays at work even though equipment is offline. The fluid's unique ability provides corrosion protection during intermittent shutdown periods of one month to one year. This is especially helpful to areas susceptible to high humidity. It means that hydraulic fluid does not need to be drained from equipment and new hydraulic fluid does not need to be added before start-up. It allows offline equipment to be quickly brought back online with minimum start-up costs and delays.
