Case History Spotlight #201: Custom Protective Covers for Trailer Suspensions

A manufacturer of trailer suspension assemblies needed a reusable corrosion solution to apply to components during cross-country shipment by flatbed truck and during storage. They did not want to use harmful oil-based products or coatings and therefore opted for CorrCap VpCI® Protective Covers, a “shower cap style” version of VpCI®-126 film custom-made with elastic closures and small hook and loop strips to ensure a proper seal. This allowed them to take advantage of a dry packaging solution that has been successfully used by automotive suppliers worldwide and offers the advantages of reusability and easy application.
