VpCI®-377 Water-based Concentrate
Description: VpCI®-377 is a water-based concentrate designed as a complete replacement for oil-based preventives for indoor protection of equipment and components. VpCI®-377 is a corrosion preventive liquid that meets tough antipollution requirements. The wide dilution range with water (0.5-20%)* allows flexibility to customize the length of protection required and the applied cost per square foot (or m2). VpCI®-377 forms a solution in water and is applied to metal surfaces by spraying or dipping. VpCI®-377 does not need to be removed, but if necessary, can be removed with conventional alkaline cleaners, such as Cortec’s VpCI®-410 series. VpCI®-377 is also available in a cold weather version. VpCI®-377 Winterized has a lower freeing point for the convenience of application and storage in cold temperatures.
*Contact Cortec Representative for dilution recommendations.
Application: Add VpCI®-377 to water and mix thoroughly. Spray, dip, or use in parts washers and rinse tanks. Solution concentration can be monitored by a refractometer, pH and titration methods. The pH of VpCI®-377 needs to be above 8 in order to be effective.
Package: VpCI®-377 is available in 5 gallon (19 liter) pails, 55 gallon (208 liter) drums, liquid totes, and bulk. The product should be stored sealed in a heated warehouse to avoid freezing. VpCI®-377 Winterized is available in 5 gallon (19 liter) pails, 55 gallon (208 liter) drums, liquid totes, and bulk. VpCI®-377 is also available in EcoAir® compressed air cans (12 oz. / 340 g) bottles. Shelf life is 24 months.
