Hartley Duncan Joins Cortec

Hartley Duncan has been named Director of Sales for Cortec Corporation's southern region. Duncan has twenty-seven years of experience in the coatings and linings industry. As President and owner of Chandelle Company of Louisiana from 1976 to 1998, Duncan received the coveted "Presidents Award" in 1996. Chandelle was consistently ranked in the top five agencies in sales for Plastic Protective Coatings. Duncan's leadership led to five Outstand-ing Sales Performance Awards for fiscal 1985, 1993, 1994, 1996, and 1997.

Duncan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Sam Houston State University in 1961. NACE certified, Duncan has been a member of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), SPCC and NACE International for 25 years. On the national level he served on the board of directors for NACE and was involved both as an instructor and exhibits chairman. Duncan served as regional South Central chairman of NACE International from 1994-95. His involvement in the sectional, regional and national level of NACE earned him a distinguished service award in 1997.

Duncan has participated in every aspect of marketing corrosion resistant products, from coatings and linings, to industry assistance in technical service and inspection. His extensive experience in the Southern region with such contacts as A&E firms, CPI refineries, pulp, paper, wastewater treatment facilities, transportation and utilities make him an excellent candidate for Cortec's Director of Sales, southern region.
