Cortec® Corporation Introduces
Cortec Coated Product Division
Cortec® Corporation announces acquisition
of ACT, Inc (American Coating Technology) in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
This is Cortec's third acquisition in the past four years, allowing
the company to vertically integrate in the development and manufacturing
of coated flexible substrates. Cortec Corporation has been recognized
for growth by Minnesota Technology, Inc in 1998-2000 as a winner
of Technology Fast 50 award.
The new entity created by this acquisition
will be renamed Cortec Coated Products Division and will remain
in its 60,000 square foot facility in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Cortec's
state of the art coater and calender will be utilized primarily
for production of its own branded products marketed globally for
protective packaging application. Cortec plans to move its paper
converting operations from its World Headquarters in White Bear
Lake Township, Minnesota to Eau Claire, Wisconsin in order to make
this new facility self sufficient, complete and world class.
