New Association Formed - CCIA
Potomac, MD . . . The Concrete Corrosion Inhibitors Association, Inc. (CCIA) has been formed to promote the use and understanding of corrosion inhibitors in concrete. The members of the new association are: Master Builders, Inc., Grace Construction Products, AXIM Concrete Technologies, Inc., Sika Corporation and Cortec Corporation. This new association will develop and provide educational material, and technical and statistical information to encourage the use of corrosion inhibitors to improve concrete durability in marine applications, parking facilities and the infrastructure. The Association will also explore other avenues, such as providing support to research and scientific inquiry involving the use of corrosion inhibitors in concrete.

Arnie Rosenberg, Guest Researcher with NIST, was elected Executive Director of the Association. Serving on the Board of Directors of CCIA are: Brad Violetta from Master Builders, Inc.; Tim Durning of Grace Construction Products; David Nethercutt from AXIM Concrete Technologies, Inc.; Mike Campion of Sika Corporation and Boris Miksic from Cortec Corporation.
