Motor Oil Additive Increases Engine Corrosion Protection As Much As 20 Times

Recent Independent Laboratory Testing shows that Cortec's new M-529 Motor Oil Additive improves corrosion protection for gasoline and diesel engines as much as 20 times compared to typical motor oil. M-529 was specially designed as a powerful package of corrosion inhibitors for use in lubricating and hydraulic systems that receive high use and intermittent shutdown overnight or during long term storage.

During engine operation, the new additive decreases high temperature oxidation and wear of metal in the engine, components, valves and lines. Field tests in a gasoline-powered V-8 engine confirm that M-529 reduces all types of metal wear while preserving the oil from oxidation. The additive even provides protection to the engine in the presence of aggressive chlorides.

M-529 effectively prevents corrosion of engines during shutdown for up to one year. Upon start-up from storage, the engine in a vehicle can be run without the need for an oil change. M-529 eliminates the extra step and costs of other storage methods where the rust inhibitor must be flushed from the engine and new oil added before use.

The additive can be used for both organic and synthetic oils. It provides a complete protective package for all conventional ferrous and non-ferrous metals including copper, cadmium, magnesium, zinc, solder, tin, lead, and silver. An environmentally proactive product, M-529 does not contain any heavy metals or hazardous barium, chromate, nitrite or phosphate inhibitors.

M-529 can be used to increase oil performance and engine life for a variety of gasoline and diesel applications including car fleets, tractor and truck fleets, construction and off-road vehicles and equipment. It is ideal for use in engines that see operation and storage in hard-use and high wear applications. The additive performs effectively in both lubricating and hydraulic systems and passes through a size 5 micron filter.
