Dissolve Wax and Grease With New Water Dilutable Cleaner

Cortec's new VCI-411 heavy duty cleaner replaces solvent type cleaners for removing grease and wax. Unlike solvent cleaners available on the market today, which are classified as hazardous materials and harmful to human skin, Cortec^® VCI-411 is safe to handle. Its biodegradable and non-flammable formulation allows the user to dilute the product with water for heavy, medium, and light duty applications.

The new product is a special D-Limonene-based cleaner/degreaser that effectively dissolves grease, oil, paraffins and waxes without the use of solvents or oils. For applications that need to move away from the more hazardous solvent and oil-based degreasers, the product easily handles extra tough cleaning jobs such as machinery or engines coated with grease and oil build-up, or machined parts coated with waxes or waxy films.

Cortec VCI-411 functions as a universal cleaner. At high concentrations, it will dissolve waxy film and remove adhesives. At low concentrations, the product can be used for washing hands. Because the user can dilute VCI-411 with water to the desired cleaning strength, the user can replace a variety of specialized cleaners with one, multi-purpose product.

For heavy-duty cleaning, the concentrate is diluted with 1 to 5 parts water. After application to gearboxes, engines, or plant machinery, the user allows the VCI-411 do its work. It penetrates through dirt and grime and then breaks the soils free from the surface. The user then proceeds to clean as they normally would. For medium-duty cleaning of production parts and general machinery maintenance, the user dilutes the concentrate with 5 to 10 parts water. For light duty cleaning of walls, floors and office equipment the concentrate is diluted with 10 to 20 parts water.

Having a mild alkaline pH, Cortec VCI-411 can be used on all engineering metals, alloys and most other hard surfaces. The cleaner by be applied using convenient spray bottle, low pressure spray equipment, brush, dip, rag, or mop. The product does not require any special storage or hazardous disposal methods.
