Cortec® Welcomes Familiar Face as New Technical Sales and Product Manager

Cortec® Corporation is pleased to welcome back Eric Uutala, now in the role of Technical Sales and Product Manager! Eric has 16 years of experience working with Cortec® or Cortec® products, thus bringing with him a wealth of industry knowledge and hands-on application experience in corrosion control.
Eric started as a Technical Service Engineer at Cortec® in 2006 after receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota Duluth. By 2013, he had become the Technical Service Manager. With the formation of CGSI (Cortec® Global Services, Inc.), he was transferred into the role of Technical Director. He worked as a Product Chemistry Consultant on a major oil and gas preservation project in South Korea from November 2017 to February 2018, followed by working at the project office outside of London from March 2018 to March 2020.
Eric has now returned to Cortec® World Headquarters in a new role that focuses on sales and product management for asset preservation and CorroLogic® products. Here, he hopes to boost technical understanding of and confidence in Cortec® corrosion protection products while expanding their use across industries. He finds it especially interesting to observe the variety and scope of projects Cortec® works with-sometimes multibillion-dollar construction projects, and other times small machine shops. His relaxed personality makes him easy to work with, and he highly recommends an inquisitive attitude for everyone: “My advice for customers and Cortec® employees is to be curious and ask questions; never be afraid to ask more questions.”
