Case History Spotlight #486: Preserving Electrical Control Cabinets
August 6, 2025
A power company in the British Isles was having trouble with corrosion failures inside outdoor electrical control cabinets during shipping, storage, and operation. Cabinets in coastal locations were especially at risk. These failures were costly for the power company and inconvenient for customers.
The company started to wrap the cabinets in VpCI®-126 Blue during shipping and storage and place VpCI®-111 Emitters inside during operation. This helped them cut down on costs for failure, maintenance, and repair, and they continued using this economical and long-lasting solution for years to come.
