Ferrari Restoration - Cortec CorporationThe owner of a 1984 Ferrari Mondial Cabriolet designed by the legendary Pininfarina was having corrosion problems and wanted to restore the car while eliminating future rust issues. A master mechanic performed the overhaul on the mid-rear engine of the convertible. Restoration continued for about 10 months using Cortec® products as follows:• Loose rust was removed with EcoAir® VpCI®-423.
• All surfaces were cleaned with Bull Frog
® Cleaner/Degreaser.
• Remaining rust was converted to a hydrophobic passive layer using Bull Frog
® Rustorer.
• Exposed metal surfaces were sealed with Bull Frog
® Rust Blocker.
EcoAir® VpCI®-377 Corrosion Preventative was applied to all other components.
• Electronics were cleaned with Bull Frog
® Electronic Cleaner.
• Bull Frog
® Lubricant with Rust Blocker was used to help squeaky, sticky hinges, nuts, and bolts move freely.
• The engine underbody was painted with
