Cortec® a Key Player in Asset Preservation at Kuwait Oil & Gas Show (KOGS)
December 31, 2019
Cortec® positioned itself as the main player in asset preservation and corrosion protection solutions a couple of months ago at KOGS, the largest and most reputable oil and gas convention in Kuwait. KOGS is organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers and brings together key representatives from government and industry to engage with each other and address energy opportunities in the MENA region.
Khalil Abed (Strategy & Innovation Director) and Firas Musleh (Regional Manager) from Cortec® Middle East (CME) were able to interact with many existing and potential customers and highlight five key areas of corrosion expertise:
- Asset Preservation
- Plant Layup, Mothballing, and Hydrotesting
- Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs)
- Rig Stacking
- Protection or Reinforced Concrete Structures
Abed commented, “The response was positive where a lot of customers recognized the innovative solutions Cortec® products can offer to chronic problems in asset preservation. . . .” One potential client in particular from a major operating company expressed interest in learning more about Cortec’s CorroLogic® AST solution and having CME visit his facility.
KOGS proved to be an interesting and excellent opportunity to meet good contacts and learn more about the Kuwait oil and gas market. Special thanks to CME for their work spreading Cortec® corrosion solutions in the region!
