Systems Solution Developer

The Systems Solution Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions and customized ERP functionality to support business operations. This role bridges technical development with business process understanding, translating operational needs into scalable and efficient system solutions. The position plays a key role in optimizing workflows, integrating applications, and enhancing the company’s stack of technology.

 

The following are essential job functions.

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom ERP modules, dashboards, BPMs, BAQs, and workflows.
  • Extend ERP functionality through scripting, APIs, and custom automation tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional technical solutions.
  • Ensure customizations are upgrade‑safe and follow best practices.
  • Build automated processes to reduce manual work across finance, operations, supply chain, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain integration between ERP and third‑party systems (CRM, MES, vendor portals, etc.).
  • Implement RPA‑style workflow automation when appropriate.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system integrations, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Investigate system issues, identify root causes, and deploy fixes or enhancements.
  • Support major software updates, testing environments, and rollout planning.
  • Assist with system performance tuning, logging, and monitoring.
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
  • Working with departments leads to the development of scalable solutions that streamline operations.
  • Document workflows, technical configurations, and solutions standards.
  • Partner with IT, operations, accounting, customer service, and other departments.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders clearly and professionally.
  • Participate in planning sessions for digital transformation and system improvements.

Secondary job accountabilities:

  • Completes special projects as assigned by the department manager.
  • Assist/Backup IT Mgr with Access Mgmt & Permissions, User Training, Change Mgmt & Communication, Compliance & Audit Support, Security & Governance
  • Assist/Backup Level I/II End User Support

Minimum Education

Associate’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum Experience

Strong knowledge of SQL, database management systems, and operating systems. 2-3 years’ experience in SSRS and 1-2 years’ experience in C#. Epicor experience highly preferred.
