New Cortec® HR Director Prioritizes Effective Communication and Best Practices

Please join us in welcoming Lisa Wagner as our new Director of Human Resources (HR) at Cortec® Corporation! Lisa came on board May 2nd to take responsibility for Human Resource Management at all Cortec® North America plants in the U.S. and Canada (Bionetix®).

Lisa brings with her a wealth of educational and business experience to support operations at Cortec®. In addition to her Bachelor of Science in HR Management (with a minor in Psychology) and MBA degrees, Lisa has 20 years of experience in general business management, with a focus on Human Resource Management for 15 of those years.

Lisa will have an important impact on employees and customers alike, as she helps develop and ensure compliance with best practices both within HR and the company as a whole. She will be part of our team of directors developing organizational level strategies to guide Cortec® forward.

A key part of Lisa’s management philosophy is a strong emphasis on effective communication. She stated, “I believe communication and perception is everything, and effective communication can solve most any issue or conflict. Part of effective communication is learning to be a good listener and not talking to talk, but rather talking to learn and understand more about a person or situation.” This perspective is likely to have both internal and external benefits, since a company with healthy communication is able to serve customers better.

While Lisa brings her own subject matter expertise to the table, she is also intrigued by what she has learned at Cortec®: “I never knew all the different methods of stopping corrosion. I am blown away that a person can use VpCI® and for example, put product in a tackle box and the tackle will not get rusty! This is amazing to me, and I realize this example is on a very small scale.”
