Ch Spotlight 529 Web - Cortec Corporation A manufacturing facility in India was having trouble keeping its steel spiral staircase in good condition. The staircase leading to the office was rusty, and none of the enamel or anticorrosion paints they tried seemed to last more than six months. Rust removal with mechanical force was not an option due to concerns about damaging the staircase. Cortec^®Corrosion Solutions India represented Cortec^® to provide a two-year rust preventative plan: Remove mild rust with VpCI^®-426. Clean the entire ladder with VpCI^®-419. Passivate heavy rust with CorrVerter^® Rust Converter Primer. Apply VpCI^®-386 Blue as a topcoat. The manufacturer was very pleased with the innovative solution, which addressed the corrosion problem without abrasive blasting or grinding.
