CASE HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: Case History #720: Tropical Sea Shipment of Finned Tubes

Sea Shipment - Cortec Corporation Finned tubes going from Russia to Australia needed corrosion protection during shipment through a tropical sea climate. A comprehensive protective system was implemented. This included spraying the finned tubes with VpCI^®-239 (previously tested for heat transfer resistance), placing them in a box lined with VpCI^®-126 HP UV Shrink Film, and layering pieces of VpCI^®-137 Foam between the pipes. The first batch was delivered with no traces of corrosion, signaling the reliability of this speedy method of preservation.
