CASE HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: Case History #679: Seasonal Theater Boiler Layup

A historical theater in Alabama was temporarily closed during the COVID shutdowns of March 2020, with hopes to reopen that fall. In the meantime, the facility boilers required layup, a task usually performed by adding desiccant every spring. This time, the two electric boilers were emptied and protected with the Boiler Lizard®, which offered enough Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors for a year or more of protection and would not require removal at startup. The theater kept a second Boiler Lizard® in reserve with plans to use it for seasonal layup the following spring!
