Cortec® Brings MRO Corrosion Solutions to NFMT

Cortec® once again shared the all-important corrosion prevention side of facility management with facility and maintenance managers at the National Facilities Management & Technology (NFMT) Conference, March 12th- 14th in Baltimore.
Scott Bryan (Technical Sales Manager – Water Treatment) and Steve Pearl (Northeast/Mid Atlantic Sales Manager) noted steady traffic at the Cortec® booth and had some great opportunities to visit with consultants and water treatment distributors who work with Cortec® on a regular basis. As usual, the large demo jars representing unprotected steel wool vs. VpCI® protected steel wool in water grabbed attention and started a variety of conversations with those new to the Cortec® scene.
While many discussions naturally focused on seasonal layup of boilers and cooling tower systems, one topic that stood out was the challenge of corrosion on infrastructure and equipment at a large cosmetics plant in the region. Several individuals connected with government agency facilities in the DC area also came by looking for ways to rehabilitate rusty systems and protect them better in the future.
