Bionetix® Participates in Canadian Virtual Export Mission to Argentina

Bionetix® International was proud to be one of 10 “Ontario mission companies” participating in the April 12th-15th “Water and Wastewater Export Business Mission to Argentina.” This virtual trade mission was organized by the Ontario Trade Commissioner Service to connect Canadian cleantech companies with interested parties in Argentina who might benefit from their technologies.
Oscar Caceres, Latin America Sales Manager for Bionetix®, was introduced to the opportunity during a March 1st webinar on “Argentina’s Water & Waste Water Sector,” which allowed him to become familiar with regulations, key players, and potential obstacles in the Argentinian market. Speakers included the
Pro Secretary of AIDIS, the Buenos Aires Canadian embassy trade commissioner, an environmental law specialist, and an area director for South American international growth and job creation.
Following the webinar, Bionetix® participated in the April virtual trade mission and enjoyed the new approach the Ontario Trade Commissioner Service took to screening prospective Argentine companies for the best match with Bionetix®. The embassy then facilitated further discussion and did an excellent job conducting meetings between Bionetix® and Argentinian parties interested in biological solutions for wastewater treatment.
Oscar came away from the events seeing great potential for Bionetix® technology in Argentina. Well aware of the potential barriers from high shipping costs, he has already been strategizing ways to help potential distributors get around this issue through Bionetix’s concentrates. Bionetix® has previously worked in Argentina but is excited about Ontario’s new approach to business development and is eager to assist those in other Latin American countries to discover the benefits of biological wastewater solutions, as well.
