CASE HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: Case History #618: Protecting Rusty Guy Wire Clamps
December 19, 2025
The guy wire clamps at the base of an anemometric tower in Brazil were exposed to strong wind, blowing sand, and ocean air, inducing signs of corrosion that called for cleaning and future protection. Loose rust was wire-brushed. The metal was cleaned with a solution of VpCI®-418. Finally, the clean guy wire clamps were coated with VpCI®-368 for ongoing protection and to support a longer service life for this small but important infrastructure component.
