Important Reminder: Bionetix® International Offers ‘Green’ Oil Spill Cleanup Solutions!

March 23, 2020

As you go about your daily routine, you will likely encounter customers or jobsites that have experienced oil spills, leaks, or drips of more or less severity. You may also encounter clients that have an even bigger vision for cleaning up shores and seascapes polluted by heavy oil contamination. In either case, Bionetix® International is ready to help you provide sound environmentally responsible solutions to these environmental issues.

Chemical dispersants are one way to break up oil spills on the land and sea, creating tiny oil droplets that are easier for natural microorganisms to access and biodegrade. Unfortunately, there is uncertainty and concern about the potential toxicity and bioaccumulation effects chemical surfactants may have on the environment. Bionetix® can help you and your customers minimize this problem with BIOSURF™, which relies on a natural plant-derived biosurfactant as its main active ingredient. BIOSURF™ has a high dispersing power and also acts as a strong biostimulant to promote biodegradation.

To make biodegradation even more effective and efficient, Bionetix® offers two companion products to use in conjunction with BIOSURF™. BCP35M™ contains environmentally benign bacteria suited to degrading petroleum in a water environment. BCP35S™ is similarly formulated for bioremediation on land and will degrade a wide range of refinery hydrocarbons such as gasoline, diesel, crude oil, benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylene in soils.

Bionetix® also offers SPILL KIT 35S™, a handy kit to have on hand at industrial facilities and job sites. SPILL KIT 35S™ combines the excellent hydrocarbon-degrading technologies of BIOSURF™ and BCP35S™ into one convenient package for cleanup of accidental spills on the worksite. It is a great way to comply with spill plan regulations and avoid serious fines.
