Continuing Corrosion Education And Collaboration At Ampp Italy - Cortec Corporation

We were honored to share a booth with Carte Dozio at the 3rd AMPP Italy Chapter Conference & Expo, June 9th-11th in Genoa. With approximately 500 attendees from Italy, Europe, and other parts of the world, it was a great place to sharpen our understanding of the corrosion control industry and make important connections for the future. The goal of the conference was to provide opportunities for researchers, technicians, end-users, and experts to interact and share valuable information on current issues and developments and consider innovative and sustainable solutions to corrosion.

One of the best parts of the conference was the opportunity to choose from a wide array of technical sessions (almost 200 presentations on 14 themes) that brought together a wealth of industry trends and research difficult to gather on one’s own. AMPP CEO Alan Thomas opened the conference and was one of the keynote speakers. Representatives of the prestigious Politecnico di Milano were also among the speakers, as well as Srdjan Nesic of Ohio University, who spoke on “Corrosion of Carbon Steel in CO2 Environments.”

Our own Ivana Radic Borsic (VP Sales, Europe) was invited to share her co-authored paper on “VpCI® for multimetal protection in heating systems” once again. She was also asked to co-chair the Corrosion Inhibitors & Monitoring sessions, a role that involved reviewing papers and making suggestions to keep them within the technical bounds of the conference.

Thanks to all who shared their time and expertise by attending and contributing to a successful AMPP Italy conference. We look forward to great things happening between now and next year’s gathering! If you want to connect in the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out.
