Cortec® Joins Scientific Community in Seeking Circular Economy at EUROCORR 2023
August 2, 2023
Cortec® Corporation is pleased to send representatives from its Zagreb offices to EUROCORR 2023, the annual conference of the European Federation of Corrosion. This year’s main topic of “Driving corrosion prediction and protection towards a circular economy” is especially relevant to Cortec’s own commitment to design and deliver environmentally responsible corrosion and packaging solutions that use biodegradable or biobased raw materials where possible. Cortec® encourages its network of distributors from around the world—especially in Europe—to join them August 27th-31st for a great time of learning, growth, and networking at the “SQUARE – Brussels Meeting Centre” in Brussels, Belgium!
Meet Cortec® Reps Face to Face
One excellent reason to attend EUROCORR is the chance to connect in person at the Cortec® booth with Ivana Radic Borsic, Cortec’s VP of Sales for Europe. This will be a great time to discuss new opportunities and goals in the field of corrosion protection. Joining Ms. Borsic at the booth will be Cortec’s new Product and Market Development Specialist for Europe, Sejla Zukic, responsible for technical support and new product development at Cortec’s multiple laboratories and offices in Croatia.
Rich Technical Venue
A special highlight of the week will be Ms. Borsic’s presentation of a white paper on Wednesday, August 30th, at 15:00. The paper has been prepared in conjunction with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zagreb on the topic of “Corrosion-inhibiting oil for potential application as float coat for temporary protection of mild steel.” The lecture will be held in Hall 6 as part of the “Corrosion and Scale Inhibition” symposium. In addition to Cortec’s own white paper contribution, EUROCORR 2023 will include four days packed with technical presentations on a variety of corrosion related topics, including coatings, microbial corrosion, nuclear corrosion, electronics reliability, green and low carbon TF, and much more.
Networking and Sightseeing
EUROCORR will naturally bring unique and exciting networking opportunities as corrosion experts from around Europe and beyond converge in one place to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with one another. Better yet, this scientific powerhouse will gather in the rich cultural and historic environment of a storied European city with beautiful sightseeing opportunities close at hand and, for those who sign up, a Belgian-style Congress Dinner at the Autoworld vintage car museum in Cinquantenaire Park.
Register today for this special opportunity to join Cortec® and the scientific community in pursuit of a circular economy for corrosion control!
