Cortec® MCI® Sees Positive Construction Market Outlook at WOC 2025
February 11, 2025
It was great to connect and reconnect with new and familiar faces in the construction industry at this year’s World of Concrete (WOC), January 21st-23rd in Las Vegas. Overall traffic was up again from last year, and our MCI® team saw the strongest new interest in MCI® technology coming from potential users and distributors in the U.S.
The convention started out with the Monday night ICRI Kick-Off Party, a good networking opportunity, as always! The next big event was our annual MCI® distributors and reps luncheon on Wednesday, which had a strong showing from Canadian MCI® suppliers representing the east, west, and central regions of their country. Ashraf Hasania (MCI® Technical Sales & Market Manager) and the MCI® team used this time to get everyone up to date about new products, branding, and internal initiatives and later took the group out for a fun teambuilding time at the KA show by Cirque du Soleil.
Back on the expo floor, many visitors stopped by the MCI® booth to talk with our sales and technical staff about MCI® technology and products. Some of the team also took time to walk the floor and get a feel for what else is happening in the concrete/construction industry. Ashraf’s main takeaway from the stroll was as follows: “The construction market is showing strong optimism this year, with a positive outlook overall. Innovations and developments are emerging at an unprecedented pace….”
With that in mind, now is an exciting time to get re-energized about spreading the word to engineers, contractors, and ready-mixers about MCI® as a sustainable technology that may be exactly what they are looking for to extend concrete service life! If you weren’t able to catch up with the Cortec® MCI® team at WOC, don’t hesitate to reach out to get filled in on the updates!
