Cortec®/Philpac Bring Much Needed Corrosion Solutions to Facility Managers

“Everyone has some sort of rust issues.” That’s what Cortec® Regional Sales Manager Steve Pearl had to say about facility managers—and that’s why he welcomed the opportunity to join Cortec® distributor Philpac at the 27th Annual Facilities Management Expo, October 18th in Hamburg, New York. Together, Cortec® and Philpac made a great team working to educate a crowd of 700+ expo attendees with answers to their corrosion problems.
Curiosity and Corrosion
While corrosion problems are common for facility managers, too many are still unfamiliar with the VpCI® Technologies that can make life better for them. Fortunately, the giant steel wool demo bottles on display at the Philpac/Cortec® booth attracted a large number of visitors who wanted to know what they were all about. This opened the door to talk about the VpCI® Emitter, Boiler Lizard®, and Cooling Loop Gator® samples that were also generating curious looks from a broad range of facility managers for manufacturing companies, utilities, schools, universities, and churches.
Ready for Help
Many meaningful conversations followed, mostly revolving around water treatment processes or MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) products. Of special note was a visit from a facility manager at a university where Steve has been trying to introduce water treatment solutions for years. Tremendous interest on the part of the facility manager later led to arrangements for Steve to do a full-blown systems preservation presentation and cooling tower system audit at the university.
Keep the Education Going
The expo reinforced the huge need for Cortec® solutions to corrosion in facility maintenance and the importance of continuing to educate facility managers about their corrosion control options.
