Traveling Down Under with Cortec® Water Treatment
October 17, 2024
Cortec’s Technical Sales Manager for Water Treatment, Scott Bryan (CWT), made the most of his first trip Down Under for the 2024 New Zealand Association for the Properties of Water & Steam (NZAPWS) symposium. Arriving in Perth (western Australia) on August 17th, he spent the next few days shadowing Cortec® Global Services Australia (CGSA) on visits to oil, gas, and mining customers. He talked face to face with workers using VpCI®-649 for hydrostatic testing and even discussed best practices that could introduce huge savings of time and money. Another highlight was touring a warehouse where CGSA receives, inspects, and preserves mining equipment for their customer.
On Friday, Scott flew to New Zealand to get ready for the NZAPWS symposium August 27th-29th in Queenstown. With Alexei Davies-Campbell and A S Harrison stepping up to provide on-the-ground support in New Zealand, Scott felt that the time was finally right to accept the speaking invitation he had been receiving for several years.
A S Harrison did a great job hosting a booth for Cortec® technologies and facilitating Scott’s presentations on two water treatment topics: “VpCI® technology compared to other preservation options” and “Meet Cortec’s Zoo.” Both talks generated a high level of interest from the audience and sparked many ongoing conversations with water treatment companies, engineering firms, and end users in the area. After a powerful three days with Alexei at NZAPWS, Scott headed back to Australia and met with the Australian division of A S Harrison before flying out of Sydney.
We are grateful to our hosts at CGSA and A S Harrison for their amazing support and look forward to strengthening the new bonds forged by face to face meetings. With such great team players, expect to see exciting developments unfold as awareness of and access to Cortec’s exceptional water treatment chemistry grow in the region!
