CASE HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: Case History #400: Clean, Dry Corrosion Protection for Foundry Parts

A foundry in India wanted to protect metal components from rust in a clean and dry manner so they would be ready to use out of the box without cleaning. VpCI®-369N5 was applied during the raw material stage and WIP cycle. After machining, the components were cleaned with a diluted solution of VpCI®-419, then coated with VpCI®-378. The last step was to pack the components in VpCI®-146 Paper. The customer was pleased with the solution, which allowed them to receive the parts clean, dry, and ready to use, as desired.
