CASE HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: Case History #707: Preservation of FPSO Offloading System

Fpso A shipyard needed to make sure various equipment onboard a FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) unit remained corrosion-free during construction and commissioning. After a detailed site visit from Cortec’s rep, the following products were selected and applied:

• VpCI^®-126 HP UV Shrink Film for various topside equipment
• VpCI^®-368 for machined surfaces and flange faces prior to covering
• CorrLube™ VpCI® Lithium EP Grease for rotating parts

Adoption and application of the products was easy and satisfactory. It also provided a unified approach for the client, who had already used Cortec^®Technology on other parts of the project.
