CASE HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: Case History # 740: Rust-Free Shipment of Stamped Auto Parts

February 24, 2022

Chs 740 - Cortec Corporation Stamped auto parts were rusting during ocean shipment to Germany and China and LTL (less than-truckload) shipping to Mexico. The manufacturer needed 60 days of corrosion protection to meet their customer’s packaging requirement.

Cortec® was able to identify and address root problems in the manufacturing and packaging process. In addition to production changes, the manufacturer began placing CorShield® VpCI®-146 Paper between the parts as they packed them in a container lined with a VpCI®-126 Bag. They were pleased with the results, which saved them money and made their customer happy.
