Desicorr® VpCI® Pouches
Description: With their patented two-sided design, Desicorr® VpCI® Pouches offer a window into the world of rust prevention. Offering a specialized combination of desiccant and Cortec®’s unique Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI®), Desicorr® VpCI® Pouches protect your products from moisture and rust simultaneously.
The porous nonwoven fabric layer allows the contents of the pouch to absorb moisture from the enclosed packaging environment, as well as provide multi-metal corrosion protection for the products within. By removing moisture from the ambient air, the desiccant allows the corrosion inhibitors direct access to the surface of the metal, ensuring long-lasting protection for your products — and with no additional steps required for cleaning or removal once packaging application is complete.
Finally, Desicorr® VpCI® Pouches let you know when it’s time to replace them. Simply flip the pouch onto its transparent side; if the indicator spheres have changed from light yellow to dark in color, the desiccant is fully spent.
Application: Desicorr® VpCI® Pouches are designed to protect products, components, or assemblies from corrosion while packaged in corrugated boxes, plastic wrap or bags, and wood or metal containers.
Packaging & Storage: Desicorr® VpCI® Pouches are available in windowed and non-windowed versions, in 1 Unit and 1/6 Unit sizes. For pricing and availability, as well as information on other non-windowed sizes, please contact Cortec® Customer Service.
To ensure best product performance prior to application, keep tightly sealed in original packaging, indoors, and out of direct sunlight between 40–100°F (4–38°C).
